We had the 3/4 ton 4x4 frame shortened 18 inches. Thanks to my brother's father in law, who did the welding and fabricating. If you look across to the other side of the frame (barely shown behind the tubing and wiring at top center) you can see 2" x 2" .125 square tubing. You can clearly see the heat penetration of the square tube in the foreground frame rail. This is to add structure. It should never fail. Project 'One Bad Bull' is a 1980 Ford F100 step side build. Follow along to see the progress.  This project starts with a early 1980 F100 Custom. It was Custom because Ford allowed customers to select the options they wanted and the options they didn't. The pickup we are building was a bare bones truck. No A/C, No Power anything except the steering and a 3 speed standard with a 300 straight six. Forgive my A-frame.
